Construction Engineer (Sewerage)

Job Requirements:
Graduate Degree S1 in Civil Engineering
Membership with an internationally recognised professional engineering body
Having 8 years experience in civil engineering industry on construction projects.
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
Intermediate Arabic communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project Management and GIS programs.
Job description & Responsibilities:
Our employer is a strong, growth oriented public works authority in the state of Qatar. In order to deliver the large infrastructure boom which has already started in Qatar, our employer is rapidly expanding their ranks and looks to welcome aboard 3 construction engineers with experience in the implementation of large scale sewerage and water treatment projects.
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will become a vital part of this team. Assisting the Project Engineer in the delivery of large scale projects, your responsibilities will include:
Inspection and monitoring of contractor work in line with acceptable expectations and standards including timeframes, budgets and accepted quality standards.
Assist in reviewing and endorsing the work of external parties by developing technical contract data, project specifications, construction drawings, and cost estimates for public building and sewerage treatment projects.
Coordinate with architectural, civil, electrical and mechanical aspects of technical design, drawings and specifications, engineering estimates and project budgets and job scheduling.
Analysis of survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, topographical and geologic data
Reviewing project progress and control procedures in line with expectations for project timeframes, quality, consistency of work, and adherence to design specifications; identifying in advance any potential issues, suggesting recommendations for rectification
Enforcing safety and quality principles
Maintaining project documentation
